Who Am I?

What I Do:

-My name is David Lawrence and I'm the owner of Kinetics Exercise Physiology.

-I'm an Accredited Exercise Physiologist/Personal Trainer who works with clients in a 1-on-1 or 2-on-1 capacity.

-I run sessions from a private gym (Athletix) located in the Fortitude Valley/Bowen Hills area of Brisbane.

-I also offer online coaching options for non-clinical populations ranging from tracked programs to video coaching and weekly check-ins.

My Qualifications:

-Bachelor of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences (2016, University of Queensland)

-Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (2023, University of Queensland)

What is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and who do you train?

Exercise Physiologists are Allied Health Professionals, qualified via university degrees to prescribe and deliver exercise to people on all ends of the health spectrum.

This includes people with the following health considerations and conditions:

-Cardiovascular

-Mental Health

-Metabolic (e.g. Diabetes and Hyperlipidaemia)

-Musculoskeletal Injuries and Chronic Pain

-Neurological

We are able to offer subsidised/funded appointments for eligible participants via:

-Private Health Rebates

-NDIS

-DVA

-Medicare/EPC's (GP Referrals)

However, we are also qualified to work with clients with personal training/strength and conditioning goals, such as:

-Increasing Strength or Athleticism

-Body Composition Changes

-General Health and Well-Being

My Experience:

I have 7 years and over 10,000 hours of face-to-face experience with clients.

I've worked with people from all walks of life, from national-level athletes to pregnant mums, 92-year-olds and desk workers logging 70 hour work weeks.

I love the variety of different clients with different goals looking for help with exercise, and I pride myself on tailoring every single session uniquely to the needs and abilities of the person in front of me, rather than the one-size-fits-all approach that dominates our industry.
